Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Urgent Care, Sauer Center and other locations, to deliver direct and indirect patient care under supervision. The CMA will record vital signs, assist with examinations, prepare patients for the physician, and administer medications as ordered.

Qualified candidates hold an active CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certification, have a high school diploma or GED, and completed an accredited MA program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post-secondary program is preferred in most states.
• Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA) required.
• BLS certification required at hire for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify significant changes in patient condition and report to the provider.
• Assist in planning and implementing patient care under provider supervision.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist physician during visits.
• Document patient information, vital signs, and measurements.
• Provide medications as directed and manage routine office duties.
