Community Health Systems, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant – Certified to support urgent care services at SACS Clinic. This role will room patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist providers in a fast-paced clinical setting.

On-site hours align with clinic schedule (Mon-Fri mornings and afternoons as listed). Prior CMA/RMA with BCLS preferred; training provided; join a collaborative team focused on timely, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in an urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and collect vital signs, histories, and reason for visit.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and assist providers.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing; document results in EMR.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Provide patient education materials and instructions as directed.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms; ensure equipment is sanitized.
• Assist with front-office tasks as needed, including check-in and insurance verification.
• Support patient flow to reduce wait times and coordinate services with care team.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and organizational policies.
