Job summary

Lutheran Health Physicians is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at our Fort Wayne clinic to support clinical and administrative functions. The CMA will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and ensure smooth clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, room prep, patient communication, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with medical record systems and basic computer applications.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care tasks.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Manage patient intake, triage, and documentation per licensed staff guidance.
• Handle scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Maintain organized workload and provide courteous service to patients and staff.
