Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Fall River Primary Care location. The role supports physicians and care teams, maintains patient flow, and ensures accurate charting in our EMR system.

A strong candidate will have MA program completion, BLS, and at least one year of experience, with bilingual interpretation preferred. We offer a signing bonus for new hires and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• National third-party MA certification within 13 months of hire.
• One year MA experience preferred.
• Fluency in a non-English language with medical interpreting preferred.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures under supervision.
• Support efficient patient flow in the clinic or medical office.
• Handle telephone communications with patients, including test results and schedules.
• Utilize EMR and related software to access or update patient information while protecting privacy.
• Provide medical interpretation in languages other than English when needed.
