Job summary

Vail Health Hospital seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative duties. The role includes handling calls, voicemails, and patient portal messages, while ensuring accurate EHR documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have basic medical terminology knowledge, HIPAA/OSHA awareness, and 2+ years of related experience. A CMA/ RMA or equivalent Colorado-recognized credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules.
• 2 years of experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Address patient portal and EHR messages in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the patient’s EHR.
• Communicate with clinical care team as needed.
