Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams by handling patient calls, portal messages, and administrative tasks that sustain daily patient care. You will document meticulously in the EHR and collaborate with clinicians to ensure timely, accurate care.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate licensure or certification; there may be remote or outside-state opportunities along with standard hospital-based duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in patient care and administrative duties.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Multiple medical certifications or licenses are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fields patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Addresses patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Ensures accuracy and documentation in the patient’s EHR.
• Communicate with the clinical care team as needed.
