Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our outpatient care team. The MA-C will support providers with patient intake, perform essential exam procedures, and assist with immunizations to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires graduates of an approved MA program, MA-C certification (or interim with certification within 90 days), and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR certification required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Fast-paced outpatient setting experience.
• Travel to other clinic locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
