Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) to support clinicians, perform patient intake, prepare exam rooms, document vital signs, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires a current MA-C license (or interim with certification within 90 days) and BLS/CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred, with potential travel to other clinic locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved MA program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Fast-paced outpatient setting.
• May require travel to other clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
