Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) to support providers in delivering high-quality primary care. This role handles patient intake, vitals, procedures and referrals, ensuring efficient patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications include MA program graduation, current MA-C license (or Interim with certification within 90 days), and BLS/CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, with travel to other clinics possible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved MA program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
