Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) to support providers in delivering patient-centered primary care. The MA-C will handle patient intake, document clinical quality measures, assist with exams and procedures, and coordinate labs and referrals in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The position requires a graduate of an approved MA program with MA-C license (or interim with certification within 90 days) and BLS/ CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR certification required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
