Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) to support providers in a fast-paced outpatient primary care setting. The MA-C will record histories, vital signs, assist with exams, administer vaccines, and coordinate labs and referrals.

Qualifications include graduate of an approved MA program, MA-C license (or interim with certification within 90 days), and BLS/CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred; travel to other clinic locations may be

• Graduate of an approved MA program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
