Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) to support providers in delivering high-quality primary care. You will handle patient intake, support clinical quality measures, and coordinate referrals to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care.

The role requires MA program graduate with MA-C licensure (or interim with certification within 90 days). BLS/CPR is required (or within 90 days); Spanish language skills are strongly preferred in our

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved MA program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred; Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
