Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Primary Care office in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Medical Assistant I to support patient care by preparing patients and assisting clinicians in exam rooms. You will document visits in the EMR, maintain a confidential environment, and follow infection control and HIPAA standards on a daily shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, BLS, and 1–2 years of clinical experience, with strong customer service and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a clinical environment preferred.
• Current CMA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT & ICD coding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and assist clinicians in exam rooms.
• Document exam, treatment and test results in EMR per policy.
• Maintain safe, confidential patient information and environment.
• Follow infection control and PPE guidelines.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA and Adventist HealthCare policies.
