Job summary

Maryland Primary Care Physicians is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. You will accompany patients to exam rooms, take histories and vital signs, prepare rooms, assist with exams, and input data into the EMR.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and graduates from an accredited Medical Assistant program, with at least three years of hands-on experience, CMA and CPR certification, and willingness

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Three+ years hands-on clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and CPR certifications with ongoing recertification.
• Must meet vaccination, background check, and drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and instruments; maintain a clean, neat environment.
• Assist provider with exams and procedures.
• Input data into the EMR and update patient care plans.
• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations; apply splints as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and excellent customer service.
• Check expiration dates on medications and supplies.
