Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a Physician Office at the Little Miami Health Center. The CMA will work closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care, review and update health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, reviewing charts, verifying test results, managing charts and reminders, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CMA certification from approved bodies; ABR-OE acceptable if MA certification unavailable.
• BLS certification required at hire or prior to independent patient care.
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience preferred; not required.
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Review and update health records; verify diagnostic test results and reports.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, answer phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
