Physicians Regional Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care under medical supervision, assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, and manage patient intake while supporting clinic operations. The role emphasizes excellent patient service and efficient workflow in a busy outpatient setting.

The CMA will perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, injections, venipuncture, EKGs, and vaccines, while also handling administrative duties like scheduling

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completion required.
• Knowledge of medical office Procedures and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Suite).
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent patient service.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities in fast-paced settings.
• Critical thinking for clinical and administrative challenges.
• Ability to perform care per age-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with clinical procedures: vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and maintain readiness for visits.
• Handle patient intake, report results, triage calls, document medical information.
• Review daily logs and maintain documentation.
• Support front-office duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, clinic communications.
• Maintain organized workload and provide courteous, efficient service.
• Monitor and requisition clinic supplies and equipment to ensure inventory.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
