Access Medical Clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support nurses and providers in routine clinical tasks. The role includes chart preparation, vital signs, phlebotomy, minor procedures, vaccinations, and patient education, with strong emphasis on medical record accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

The CMA will also handle registrations, insurance verifications, prescription calls, and laboratory coordination, ensuring timely communication and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; maintain active license in good standing.
• BLS certification upon hire and kept current during employment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and work well on a collaborative team.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and set up medical equipment.
• Monitor vital signs and document medical history.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Assist with minor clinical procedures and point-of-care testing.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
• Track lab results and communicate test outcomes.
• Manage registration tasks (insurance verification, demographics, scheduling).
• Maintain EMR records and ensure confidentiality.
