Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care under a medical provider’s supervision and support clinical and administrative clinic operations. The CMA will assist with procedures, manage exam rooms, handle patient intake, verify insurance, and maintain efficient patient flow.

Qualifications include 0-1 years in a medical setting or externship, knowledge of medical office procedures, EMR and basic computer skills, and strong

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completed
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
• Proficiency with medical record systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, wound care)
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for visits and procedures
• Performs patient intake duties and documents information as directed
• Maintains daily logs and documentation
• Supports administrative duties (pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance eligibility)
• Maintains organized workload and delivers courteous, efficient service
• Monitors clinic supplies and equipment inventory
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies
