Job summary

Mercy Health is recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant for the Lima Medical Office Building. The role works closely with the primary care physician to deliver patient care within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

You will review and update health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. A High School degree or GED is required, with CMA/MA certification and BLS preferred or required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA or ABR-OE certification accepted per licensure text.
• BLS/CPR training required or preferred depending on site.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with respect and provide excellent service.
• Prepare and review patient charts; verify diagnostic tests and records.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, and phone coverage.
• Troubleshoot problems promptly and support care teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
