Allegheny Health Network in the United States is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care within a team-based clinical practice. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, and document information in the EHR while adhering to AHN protocols and HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities include medication screening, preventive screenings, lab controls, and assisting with examinations and procedures under supervision. Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification requirements: complete certification within 120 days if not already certified.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.
• CPR certification per American Heart Association.
• Background clearances as required.
• Able to follow HIPAA and privacy policies.

Responsabilités

• Assist in coordination of patient care under supervision.
• Prepare and room patients according to workflows.
• Accurately obtain vital signs and document patient information.
• Review and screen medications and patient history in EHR.
• Perform back office testing per AHN protocols.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Document in EHR accurately and timely.
• Maintain stocked examination rooms and inventory.
