Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in coordinating care and ensuring efficient patient flow. You will room patients, record vital signs, take patient histories, and assist with examinations and procedures.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, with certification pursued as per AHN policy. You may work across multiple AHN locations as needed, maintaining high standards of safety and patient communication.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a medical assistant program.
• Certification requirements: must obtain certification within 120 days if required, or within 30 days of hire for those who recently trained; accepted certifications include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care under supervision and follow AHN workflows.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document history, tobacco, and medications.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• Follow up with patients via preferred method and relay test results as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• May float between physician office locations.
