Job summary

At Duly Health and Care, a Medical Assistant in Westmont, IL is sought to greet patients, support registrations, record vital signs, and assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or related health sciences coursework.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA).
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
