Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville, IL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Travel may be needed to support other local clinics. You will greet patients, assist with registration, take vital signs, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and CPR certification. Experience with EMR and phlebotomy within 90 days is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA preferred.
• CPR certification required or willing to become certified upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire may be required.
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT experience or 2 years in medical office assisting with patient care.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.
• College graduates from a health sciences program are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
