Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Family Practice/Internal Medicine in Lisle, IL and nearby clinics. This full-time 40-hour role supports registration, vitals, and patient flow while assisting physicians during exams and minor procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher education in health sciences.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA) required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years in medical office assisting with patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor office procedures and dressings.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Help patients with prescriptions, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders and charting.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, PFT, glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with Duly Health and Care values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required.
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
