Job summary

Millennium-Physician-Group in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital settings. You will take vitals, assist with examinations, perform EKGs, immunizations, specimen collection, and help with lab processing, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will document in the EHR, coordinate referrals and tests, verify insurance, assist with billing and coding as needed, and support care

Qualifications

• Completed Medical Assisting Program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• All certifications must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive patient intakes including vitals and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• Document clinical data in the EHR accurately.
• Schedule referrals, tests, and test results; coordinate care.
• Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations and billing by need.
• Monitor inventory and prepare exam rooms with supplies.
• Support care transitions and patient-centered communication.
