Qualifications

• Certifications: CCMA, BLS, RMA, NRCMA, CMA, AMT, NCCT, AAMA, AA H; Registered Medical Assistant credentials listed by certifying bodies.
• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and collecting information related to chief complaint, history, and medications upon arrival.
• Perform telephone communications with patients, families, pharmacies, and other health care facilities as directed.
• Handle administrative tasks: check-in/out, prior authorizations, scheduling, benefits verification, referrals and testing coordination.
• Assist with in-office procedures, immunizations, TB testing, wound care, and point-of-care testing as directed by a provider.
• Administer medications per orders, process refills, and communicate with pharmacies; document actions in EMR.
