Qualifications

• Must have CMA, RMA, and relevant certifications listed (AAMA/AMT/NAHP/NHA/ARMA/AAH/NCCT).
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect pertinent information including chief complaint, history, allergies, and medication reconciliation.
• Obtain and document vital signs for patients aged 18-150.
• Conduct pre-visit calls to complete medication reconciliation and verify allergies/history.
• Perform medication reconciliation including prescriptions, OTC, and supplements.
• Handle patient communications with families, pharmacies, and facilities per policy.
• Document patient information via EMR systems.
• Perform administrative duties: check-in/out, scheduling, benefit verification, prior authorizations, referrals, and diagnostic coordination.
• Assist patients with completion of medical and administrative forms.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and maintain competency with equipment.
• Perform urine catheterization, bladder scanning, suture/staple removal, and cast application/removal as directed.
• Read TB skin tests and refer positive findings to nursing staff.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Assist with refill requests and communicate status to patients and pharmacies.
• Provide written instructions for procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
• Distribute patient education materials from approved resources.
