Job summary

Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant I to support patient care under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and assigned provider. The CMA/RMA participates in both clinical and clerical tasks and documents in the electronic health record to guide patients through the appointment process.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English accurately and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Interacts professionally with patients and staff to deliver safe, effective care.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and complete tasks with high accuracy.
• Ability to work well under time constraints while maintaining accurate records.
• Preferred: Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill patient care responsibilities for all patient populations, including pediatrics as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient’s electronic health record under established procedures.
• Assist in telephone follow-up with patients as directed by the provider or DOCS.
• Assist with patient education and follow-up on established care plans.
• Complete clinic maintenance tasks: set up instruments, run tests, clean rooms, document tasks.
