Job summary

Carolina Family Care, Inc. in Charleston, SC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support daily patient care in a small primary care clinic. You will interview patients, take vital signs, document health histories and assist physicians with exams and procedures.

Under RN supervision, you will prepare treatment rooms, maintain supplies, manage referrals, triage calls, and educate patients on treatment plans and medications. Strong CMA program and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and reviews patient records; communicates plan of care.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains supplies.
• Screens patients for information and provides education as appropriate.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Triages calls and manages medication distribution.
