MUSC Community Physicians is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient care in Charleston. The CMA will interview patients, take vital signs, record data in medical records, and prepare treatment rooms under physician direction.

Strong communication, basic computer skills, and ability to follow detailed instructions are required. Certification and BLS are mandatory, with prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• CCMA/CMA certification and BLS required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height) and records data in medical records.
• Prepares examination rooms and assists physicians during patient exams.
