Job summary

Carolina Family Care, Inc. (CFC) seeks Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) staff to support a busy primary care clinic. Maintains patient records, assists physicians with exams, and coordinates appointments and referrals in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires CMA training, certification, and BLS; duties include equipment maintenance, patient education, and accurate documentation of care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• CMA/RMA experience is preferred (1 year for CMA I; 6 months CMA II).

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain clinical/lab equipment per OSHA, DHEC and UMA.
• Maintain and review patient records; document test results and plan of care.
• Manage exam room supplies and ensure cleanliness of patient care areas.
• Screen patients, schedule appointments and referrals; provide patient education as needed.
• Prepare for exams and assist with procedures; administer prescribed treatments and tests.
