Job summary

Carolina Family Care, Inc. (CFC) in Charleston, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support decentralized, patient-centered care. You will collect vital signs, prepare examination rooms, document health history, and assist physicians with minor procedures and injections.

Under RN supervision, you will also handle patient interviews, record keeping, and education materials while maintaining compliance with OSHA and state guidelines. This role requires commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred (CMA I).
• Six months CMA/RMA experience required (CMA II).

Responsibilities

• Ensures calibrations, cleaning and maintenance of clinical/lab equipment as required by OSHA, DHEC and UMA.
• Maintains and reviews patient records and documents test results; communicates plan of care to patient.
• Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness of patient care environment.
• Assists with scheduling appointments and referrals based on urgency and availability; screens patients.
• Triages patients and prepares for physician exams and procedures; administers prescribed treatments and tests.
