Job summary

Carolina Family Care, Inc. (CFC) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support outpatient care under RN and physician supervision. You will measure vital signs, assist with examinations, prepare treatment rooms, and document results in patient records.

The role includes triaging patients, distributing medications, educating patients, and helping with exam procedures. CMA I/II experience and completion of an accredited program are preferred for handling multiple tasks in a busy clinic

Qualifications

• CMA I: High school diploma or equivalent and accredited medical assisting program.
• CMA II: High school diploma or equivalent and accredited medical assistant program; CMA/RMA experience preferred (6 months).

Responsibilities

• Ensures calibration, cleaning and maintenance of clinical/lab equipment as required by OSHA, DHEC and UMA.
• Maintains and reviews patient records and charts and communicates plans of care to patients.
• Triages patients, assists with scheduling and referrals based on urgency and availability.
• Administers prescribed treatments and tests as ordered by the physician.
• Instructs patients in treatment and/or medication per physician.
