Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The medical assistant will perform duties including patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections, and using the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical assisting certification from a recognized organization (CMA, CCMA, or RMA); if not certified upon hire, certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience with EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary collection, and injections.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical assisting degree.
• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant or documented externship in a medical office.
• Experience coordinating with other healthcare providers, attorneys, and patients.
