About Us
UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center is an academic cancer center affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Our goal is to make cancer a disease of the past through cutting-edge care, innovative clinical trials, and prevention efforts. We are home to Kentucky’s first and longest-accredited program by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. We are nationally recognized for developing experimental cancer therapeutics and diagnostics and have the most significant cancer trials program in the region. We are leaders in clinical trial testing of new immunotherapies that activate the immune system to fight cancer, and we have been early adopters of these therapies, which have reduced the cancer death rate in the U.S. The Center for Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy was established to understand the role of cancer and the immune system, identify new therapeutic targets, and develop innovative treatments.
Job Summary:
The medical assistant will perform duties including patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections, and using the electronic health record system.
