UMass Memorial Health in Bellingham, MA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN for a full-time, on-site position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, 40 hours per week.

Under direction of licensed clinicians, the Medical Assistant II provides clinical care and clerical support, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections and charting, and coordinates with insurers for prior authorizations; requires HS diploma and BLS/HS and MA-DOH credential.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.).

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and POC tests as required.
• Assist with injections and routine physicals as directed.
• Maintain medical records and encounter data in the EMR.
• Coordinate with insurers for pre-authorization and referrals.
• Collect co-pays and support front-office tasks.
