UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Medical Assistant II to support clinic operations under the supervision of a licensed clinician. You will perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting providers, and handling clerical duties to keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, point-of-care tests, preparing injections within scope, and documenting patient information for physicians.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required with MA credential.
• BLS/HS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Experience and proficiency in clinical and clerical tasks.

Mansioni

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs and health status.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests per standards.
• Prepare and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations and document lab results.
• Ensure abnormal results are promptly communicated to physicians.
