Atlantic Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I for the Primary Care clinic in Chester, NJ. This full-time role supports physicians with patient intake, vital signs, and clerical duties during an 8am–6pm shift.

The CMA will record medical information, assist with referrals, and help patients navigate care pathways, contributing to a patient-centered, team-based care environment. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• National Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.

Aufgaben

• Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools.
• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitors environment for compliance with continual accreditation readiness and evaluates practice schedule for changes or updates.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care.
• Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time.
• Provides emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
• Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
