Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I for the Monroe, NJ primary care clinic. The role supports direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision, handling intake, vitals, and documentation.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient-centered care. Required: CMA certification and high school diploma; preferred: Associate’s degree and 1+ year health care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles patient intake, updates medical records and records vital signs.
• Administers medications under physician supervision and conducts patient interviews.
• Verifies and records clinical data; supports walk-in and scheduled visits.
• Maintains accreditation readiness and adapts schedules as needed.
• Guides patients through the healthcare system and arranges referrals when appropriate.
