Description
The Certified Medical Assistant provides essential clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. This role performs both back-office clinical duties and front-office responsibilities while maintaining a positive patient experience and supporting overall workflow efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisthealthcare providers during patient examinations, treatments, and minor in-office procedures
- Maintainaccuratepatient records and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems ina timelyandaccuratemanner
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and post-visit instructions as directed by providers
- Collaborate effectively with providers, front office staff including patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, referral coordination, and check-in/check-out procedures as needed, and clinical teams to support efficient patient flow and clinic operations
- Prepare, clean, and sanitize examination rooms and medical equipment in compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Maintain and restock clinical and office supplies while ensuring exam rooms are fully prepared for patient care
- Perform administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced environment whilemaintainingprofessionalism and attention to detail
- Collect, document, and communicate patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information accurately
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, company policies, and clinical protocols

Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Adaptability and ability to work in different team environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
- Reliable transportation is required for all positions, as occasional travel to other clinic locations may be necessary

Specific Job Requirements:
CMA I:
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Medical Assistant
CMA II:
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Medical Assistant
CMA III:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experienceas a Medical Assistant
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care or outpatient setting
- Proficient phlebotomy skills
Float:
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a Medical Assistant
Diploma-Only Candidates:
Candidates who have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant diploma program but have not yet obtained a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification are eligible for employment
Employees hired without certification arerequiredto obtain an approved Medical Assistant certification, at their own expense, within one (1) year of their hire date; failure to obtain the required certification within the specifiedtimeframemay affect continued employment in the Medical Assistant role
