Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Physician Practice within the Heart and Vascular Institute. The CMA collaborates with the primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care, review and update health records, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The role requires CMA certification within 12 months of start date, and BLS certification is required or preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

• Possesses problem-solving skills with basic computer skills and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts for upcoming visits, verifies diagnostic test results and medical records.
• Measures vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Performs clerical duties: inventory checks, stock supplies, track referrals, answer phones.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
