Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley in Camden, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Addiction Treatment Program. The role supports treatment teams with medication orders, monitoring, and privacy compliance while ensuring care plans align with state regulations.

You will participate in staff meetings, maintain medical records, perform medication audits, and assist with coordinating patient care, including references to HIPAA and driving requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or three years working with mental health population.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in client treatment regimen, including medication orders and monitoring.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and compliance with regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and coordinate assessments for BH services.
• Perform weekly medication audits and report discrepancies.
• Monitor client self-administration of medications and update medical files.
