Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient-centered care across rural SC clinics. You will interview patients, take vital signs, and document in the medical record under a physician's direction.

Responsibilities include room preparation, charting, and assisting with examinations. Strong computer skills and BLS are required, with certification as CCMA/CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Certification through AMT / AAMA / NHA / MedCA as CCMA or CMA / NAHP.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in the medical record.
• Prepares examination rooms for patient visits.
• Assists in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
