MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Florence, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach and assist in examination and treatment under physician direction. You will interview patients, measure vitals, and input data into the medical record, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and certification (AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA CMA/CCMA or NAHP)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA as CMA/CCMA or NAHP.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in the medical record.
• Prepares examination rooms and assists in patient examinations under physician direction.
• Uses basic computer systems to enter data and maintain records.
