Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant at MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Florence provides multi-skilled support to a decentralized patient-centered care approach. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and input data into the medical record under physician direction.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, maintaining competencies, and communicating effectively. Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assisting program with preferred patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, records vital signs and inputs information into medical records.
• Assists in examination and treatment under the direction of a physician.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Possesses ability to understand and implement detailed instructions and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
