Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant I at MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) provides multi-skilled support to a decentralized, patient-centered care model. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient interviews, vitals, and room preparation for examinations and treatments.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and active BLS certification. Certification from AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and records data in the medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and supports examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to care and achieve outcomes.
