Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (PRN) to support outpatient clinics across the rural health network in South Carolina. The CMA performs multi-skilled duties, assists in examinations, and helps maintain a patient-centered approach under physician direction.

Position reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager, with duties including vitals, room prep, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred with one year of patient care experience.
• Must be certified through AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA/NAHP as CCMA or CMA.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in the medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist physicians with examinations and treatments.
