Job summary

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Beaches team in Jacksonville Beach, FL. The full-time role comes with medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and a 401K plan. Schedule is Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities include assisting orthopedic physicians, clerical tasks, chart preparation, patient flow management, and strict HIPAA adherence.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1–2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Proficiency with triaging patient care issues.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and safety guidelines/regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Computer proficient.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with orthopedic physicians and physician assistants.
• Assist with clerical duties such as forms and charting.
• Check physician schedules and prepare charts for test results.
• Organize patient flow to keep physician on schedule.
• Record patients' medical history, vital signs, or test results in medical records.
• Maintain infection control and restock exam rooms and supplies.
