Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville seeks a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced orthopaedic practice supporting the Level I Trauma Center. You will assist with administrative and clinical duties across subspecialties including fracture care, sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, and joint reconstruction, under the supervision of a licensed physician.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and ability to multi-task in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain MA certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administrative and clinical procedures under physician supervision.
• Support orthopaedic subspecialties including trauma, fracture care, sports medicine, hand/foot and ankle, and joint reconstruction.
• Communicate effectively with patients and teammates while prioritizing tasks.
