6 months of Medical Assistant experience (Strongly Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
CMA Certified Medical Assistant (Required) and ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Preferred) or BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support (Preferred)
Under the direction of the healthcare provider, you will be responsible for delivering patient care that promotes safety and well-being. This includes performing preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and other measures as directed by established clinical protocols.
You will perform general patient care following established standards and procedures, greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider, obtain and record vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, draw and collect blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and perform routine tests such as EKGs.
You will also schedule patients for diagnostic testing, document patient care plans, communicate test results, prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and privacy standards are met. Additional duties may include working in the front office and performing other tasks as assigned.
