Job summary

Ascension in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with procedures. You will record vital signs and medical histories, and help maintain treatment rooms and equipment to support efficient clinical flow.

The role also involves clerical duties such as answering phones and maintaining patient records, with a schedule including Day, PRN, and a minimum of 2–3 days per week, located at Ascension St.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Medical Assistant certification required prior to hire date or job transfer date.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.
• Reliable transportation to travel to all Ascension campuses
